Caleb's Graduation

We've been busy! The weekend after we went to Lakeview, we went to Maupin to stay with Nate and Holly so we could be in town for Caleb's graduation party on Sunday. Then the next weekend, we headed that way again for a day trip on Saturday to help pack up Jeff and Diane's house, and then attend the evening graduation. Between all three weekend trips, we were driving for 24 hours!

Here's a few pictures from each weekend. Holly is such a great hostess and had a bunch of special gluten free treats to celebrate the boys' birthday late, and my birthday early. We always have such a wonderful, relaxing time visiting them, and we all adore their beautiful daughter Ellie! Seth and Sam's birthday gift was a tackle box filled with fishing gear (the boys have decided that they're going to be fishermen like their uncles Nathan and Caleb). Those tackle boxes have gotten use almost every day since they received them; the boys spend hours making flies!
Joshy wasn't quite sure of Ellie. He refers to her as "baby" and wasn't a fan when she tried to pull up on him, because apparently he's such a big boy.
Notice Seth's head: he had the worst wipe-out so far going down a hill on his scooter with no shirt on. His head, tummy, elbows and knees were pretty scraped up and we were very thankful for no broken bones!
The boys soak in everything Nate teaches them about fishing! He's such a great uncle.
To add to their fishing gear heaven, their grandparents got them fishing vests. They are so cool! Later that day Caleb helped them label their tackle boxes for different kinds of fish and taught them lots about tying their own flies.
 Grandma heaven
This picture is from the following weekend as we packed up Jeff and Diane's house. I love all the grandkids crowded around Deedo. They are moving to Portland for the next couple years to have Levi finish out his high school career at Madison. They will be living only 40 minutes from us--we're all so excited! It was sad to pack up their home in Dufur, however. We're thankful that they're only renting it out and are hoping that they return some day...we all have such fond memories there!
I did a horrible job taking pictures at the graduation ceremony, but in my defense, I was juggling the camera with a hot, squirmy toddler. Ben actually had a small speech to introduce a scholarship and I didn't get one decent picture. I'm hoping that Nathan did! Ben did an excellent job and I was very proud of my husband!
Caleb also spoke and did a wonderful job. We are so proud of the man he's become and are looking forward to him being in the Portland area (at Multnomah Bible College).

Me and my rascal, thankful to be out of the hot gym!

Mt. Hood was beautiful and we were all dressed up: a perfect opportunity for a photo op.
 Such an amazing sunset!
The sky on the drive home...I couldn't resist showing God's glory in the sunset!
