The only thing that Seth and Sam would put on their Christmas gift idea list was "ice skating." We gave them an ice skating outing last year for Christmas, and had gone with them to the Lloyd Center Rink. I'm not sure why they enjoyed it so much: it was jam packed with people and they hugged the wall the whole time. Regardless, it's what their heart's desired, so we gave it to them again this year.
Thankfully, I had seen some facebook friends post pictures of a temporary rink set up in the Hillsboro area, which had the coolest seats for toddlers. We were so excited to be able to take Josh with us! This year's experience was so much more fun: it was a small rink, but we loved that it was less crowded, outside, had nice, new skates, and the seal seat for Josh was awesome! The seat not only allowed Josh to be with us, but was also a great tool for teaching the boys to skate without the aid of the wall. By the end of our hour, both Sam and Seth were skating on their own!
We had Josh try skating a few times. It didn't last long, but he did get a kick out of it.
Nothing but a rascal!

We finished our morning warming up with hot chocolate! What a memorable outing!
