Five Little Indians

This week I was reminded how pleased I've been with homeschooling the boys this year. First of all, we were able to go down to Woodburn and spend the day with cousins on a whim. And second of all, the boys spent all the next day in only underwear and their newly made Indian head dresses. Had Seth and Sam been in school we would not have had the flexibility--and clothing wouldn't of been optional.

Don't get me wrong, they did learn...and we were even able to do a highly anticipated craft with cousins: Indian head dresses (I've been doing a study with Seth and Sam on Native Americans to complement the American history unit of their homeschool group). I love these pictures of all the kids, and more than anything I love their relationships--they enjoy each other so much!

Josh was a great "helper" and Aidah is the little artist! Look at her sense of pattern and color!

One hates to have a "favorite", but seriously, how awesome is Aidah's head dress?!
