Visitors: Leonard Family

The day that my parents left, some other much anticipated visitors arrived in Monterrey: the Leonard family! It had been nine months since we saw our dear friends and we were so excited for them to visit! They were back in Monterrey to serve at back2back for a mission's trip with their church in New Mexico. Thankfully, they came a few days before their team arrived, so we were able to spend some extra time with them. Josh and I especially got to spend quality time with Katie and Jeremiah, as each day we had school at SMCA, we all ate lunch together. Jeremiah also joined us during quite a bit of the school day. It was just delightful.

We did a fun science activity with baking soda and vinegar together.

And every lunchtime, Josh and Jer played together.
They just had so much fun with one another!
We couldn't get them to stop playing and eat.
It was such a treat to catch up with Katie during lunch times. I would return to school for the afternoon so refreshed!

Kyler ended up spending the night with us and he and the twins continued their tradition of a multiple-day Risk match.
Then the big boys all graciously let Josh play with them as well on the second day.

I love how happy Josh looks in this picture.

We hosted a dinner with all our friends from church to reunite with the Leonards. It was a sweet evening of catching up.

We also spent Sunday afternoon at back2back with the Leonard's mission team serving some of the kids from an orphanage. We helped with a rocket project with the children. It was such a great afternoon! Our family was assigned to two little six year old boys with whom we helped make rockets.

Getting ready for the project

My little boy only wanted to make a mini rocket. He was so sweet and determined. Miracle of miracles: the thing shot up into the air very high! It definitely exceeded all expectations!

He was so hungry for Ben's attention

Both of the boys, in fact, adored Ben...and I don't blame them.
Gosh this picture just melt my heart.
And then there's these two boys.
 So silly

Thankfully, saying goodbye to the Leonards again wasn't too hard...because we're visiting them at their home in Las Cruces in a couple weeks for our spring break. We're soooo excited!
